Our Mission
The Fifty Dollar Challenge
There are an estimated 143 million orphans in the world, and in Myanmar (about the size of Texas) there are over 70,000. Our goal for 2010 is to provide an orphanage for the management of a couple in Myanmar. The couple is taking care of a group of orphans, but they will not be able to continue if they do not have a suitable building. We also want to commit to praying for orphans all over the world. The Fifty Dollar Challenge was born out of a desire to bring teens and adults alike out of mediocrity and into action for a cause that will have an eternal impact.
We are 100% convinced that Americans can earn (or save) fifty dollars in one month. Daily, that is less than $1.80, and at the current minimum wage, that's only fifteen minutes of labor per day. The question is, are you willing to rise above the norm and take the challenge? We are Teens for Orphans. What are you for?
